Business Spotlight: Erin's Restaurant

Erin’s Restaurant opened in Rock Hill in May of 2009 and recently moved to its Old Town location. Erin’s serves food that is “Fresh—Local—Organic, The Way Food Should Be.” Owner Erin McManus spends her days scouring local farmer’s markets for fresh vegetables, fruits, dairy products, eggs, and meats to serve in her restaurant. She has developed relationships with local farmers and, with the exception of certain staples, everything she serves is sourced locally. Erin also seeks to create a connection between people and their food by offering information about the farms she supports. Each evening, different foods are served in her restaurant, depending on what is in season.

Erin enjoys increasing people’s awareness of food. She encourages them to consider what they eat, as well as where and how it was grown, raised, or produced. At Erin’s Restaurant, customers can select items from the menu, which changes daily, or enjoy family-style dining. Family-style meals begin at 6pm, 7pm, and 8pm and include a wide variety of fresh, homemade foods. During family-style meals, customers enjoy three to four salads, two meat and/or seafood dishes, five to six sides, two desserts, and tea or coffee. This way of dining is a reminder that mealtime can be a community event, as well as an opportunity to reconnect with family and friends. Reservations are welcomed, but not required, and special dietary requests can usually be accommodated.

Taste the difference that fresh, local foods can make by enjoying an elegant dining experience at Erin’s Restaurant. It is open every Monday through Saturday evening, from 5pm to 9pm. It is located at 123 Elk Avenue, next door to Kinch’s Restaurant. For more information, call 803-493-9428 or visit the website: www.erinsrockhill.com
